Our outpatient programs for adults 18 and older help you heal from mental and behavioral health concerns. We work with you to identify emotional, behavioral and social needs, gain new skills and navigate challenges. Flexibility is also a hallmark of our programs — supporting parents, working adults and others who have daily responsibilities.
In our outpatient programs, physicians, nurses and therapists provide coordinated services for mental health conditions. Intermountain Hospital is a judgment-free zone where you receive whole-person care for your mind, body and spirit. We are ready to help with a variety of diagnoses and behaviors, including:
- Anxiety, worry and fear
- Bipolar disorder and mood instability

The Branches at Intermountain: New Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Opening Soon
The Branches at Intermountain will feature big, bright healing spaces to promote recovery. We’ll have seven group therapy rooms, an art room, a rec room and other activities that help heal your mind and body.
What Is Outpatient Behavioral Healthcare?
At our outpatient programs, also known as day treatment programs, participants receive intensive therapy during the day and go home each night. Depending on your needs, you may attend a program for anywhere from 2 to 16 weeks.
Outpatient care for adults of all ages includes:
- Partial hospitalization program (PHP) In person at our outpatient clinic, five days per week
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP) In person or virtual, three days per week (virtual option open to adults across the United States)
